Meh,
I'm over it already. LogMeIn Support had little details or insight as to the interpretation of the logged events so that I could properly troubleshoot the issue. Needless to say, I don't really like the product because its not a true VPN since it has a MITM (man in the middle). I had the CEO permit me to remove the endpoint firewalls and replace them with newer solutions. Once I upgraded them to Cisco Meraki I couldn't be happier and I don't have to deal with constant disconnects with a L2TP/IPSec solution. While I would prefer an SSL VPN, Cisco (who now owns Meraki) made it very compelling to consider and should someone block port 500 outbound, well so be it.
At least I don't have to deal with this nonsense any longer. Best wishes to those using these consumer like solutions. Me personally, I'd just implement OpenSSL and do it myself without them. It's not really very hard but then again - most people who use this product have likely far less experience with enterprise solutions. Thanks for the reply.
