I have a bit of a strange issue with hamachi. I have been using hamachi for quite some time now, but recently i have been having issues with it. whenever I open up hamachi after restarting/shutting down the computer, or exiting and restarting the client, i can no longer connect to the people in my networks.
next to the peers names in the networks, i see the "tunneling problem" error, as indicated by the small yellow triangle. Neather end can ping the other, but i am the only one that sees this error message.
when the diagnostic tool in hamachi is used, it says that there is a problem with the drivers, and hamachi must be reinstalled. doing so fixes the issue for the first run of the program only, when ever the computer, or the hamachi client is restarted, the errors return.
Diagnostic summary for drivers:
File not found: hamachi.cat File not found: hamachi.sys File not found: hamdrv.cat File not found: hamdrv.sys
the drivers seem to be installed and running correctly when viewing them in the devoce manager. also, the Hamachi virtual interface does appear in the adapter setting in windows.
the "netsh winsock reset" command changed nothing. I did not think it would do anything, but it was worth a shot.
the firewall does not seem to be blocking the client, nor is the service down. as i have had many issues with the software before, I checked these things right off the bat. Additionaly, the "DHCP Client" and "Network Connections" services are running.
it seems that i have exsausted every possible cause for this issue, and i am sure there are some that i forgot to put here. If there is anything else that could be causeing this issue, (or if you think i may have done somthing wrong) don't hesitate to speak up. any help would be greatly appreciated.
