I can't be the only one.

The hamachi window is without menus, and prolly about like 3000000000000 pixels wide.

Tried all kinds of stuff: uninstalled,....

I set up a SkyDactory 3 server today, and I had my friends join my Hamachi group. I am having them type the IPv4 address in the server address bar, but they cannot join. Help?

I've been using LMI Rescue for 10 or so years. I've heard of Hamachi before, but only used it once or twice many years ago to emulate a LAN for multiplayer games.

I recently started a project building a robot that has a Raspberry Pi onboard. It uses an LTE cellular link, and my ISP wants $500 to open ports, most of my VPN solutions weren't going to work.

I spent a lot of time setting up a reverse SSH tunnel. The problem with that is it would be very hard to add clients. It would also require a public facing high availability SSH server.

After a lot of research I ended up thinking what about, wait, what was the name of it? Oh yeah Hamachi.

Sure enough there was an ARM installer, and it took 2 minutes to get it running on Raspberian. On the Pi, I set it up as a gateway. I was pleasantly suprised that it is IPSEC. I could add people instantly right through the LMI site, and then manage them as well. I sent an email to my phone, and to my PC. Took all of 10 minutes.

I will end up purchasing this, even though I don't need more than 5 users. It's the perfect solution for a Raspbery Pi over a cellular, 3G/4G LTE network.

SMB is notoriously slow over a VPN, what speeds are you seeing? I've done a lot of file corruption using SMB over a slow link, it doesn't resume well and often thinks will look fine when they're not.

You'd be better off sharing a Google Drive, or something similar, on the two devices.

There's also rsync, it's worth checking out.

Search for "fastest cloud drive" and compare the speeds in the reviews with your speed.

If you are on a PC, open up a command prompt in admin mode and type

NET START hamachi2svc. Then, while still in the admin command prompt, go to the hamachi directory (cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\LogMeIn Hamachi\" and type (without typing "start"): hamachi-2-ui.exe. Or, you can download this script I made, and paste the file into your startup files, or start manually. But it must ne done via admin Start Hamachi

It appears a few of the automatic startup settings for logmein have changed or have become blocked as a result of windows updates. I will have a more permanant solution soon.

I am having an issue where Hamachi is constantly dropping connection.

This is happening accross all my machines, irrespective of connectivity type (DSL, Fiber, Wireless etc) or OS

Service stays on for 30 seconds to abouth 5 minures and then drops and has to resync and connect.

I have checked and all machines are running latest version of Hamachi. - most machines are running Win7 with all updates - about 6 of the 200 odd are on Win10.

Tried reboot, reinstall, all the usual tricks - Any other suggestions??
