1. launch powershell as administrator

2. Get-NetConnectionProfile

you'll get a list of interaces with names, indexes, etc.

3. Set-NetConnectionProfile -InterfaceIndex <index number> -NetworkCategory Private

where  <index number> is the index of the Hamachi interface

Migrate Profile Windows to Linux

I recently installed Linux as dual boot for a Windows laptop. In Windows I already had a network. (You can find instructions for backing up your settings.) After installing the Linux software, I had an active "ham0" network adapter. But I wanted to use the same profile from Windows. So I stopped the service, renamed /var/log/logmein-hamachi to something else and then copied the Windows settings to the original folder name and restarted the service. What a clever boy I am. Except it didn't work. Well it sort of worked. Other computers thought I was online. But there is no "ham0" and I am unreachable. I looked at the log file but I didn't see anything to help. There are several more files from the Windows profile than in the original folder. I considered chucking some of them out. But I am really flying blind. And maybe I am trying to do something I shouldn't. If this is not possible then I will go back to the original installation and treat this as a different computer. Thanks in advance for any hints.

Saludos.

Srange Problem with browsing PC just started

hi,

i've got a strange problem that's only just started happening in the past few days.

2 PCs both running W10, lets call them "A" and "B" both on the same LAN (for testing following complaint from remote PC user that he can't see machine A's shared folders any more)

A can see B and can browse B's shared folders

B can see A but can't browse A's shared folders, any attempt results in seeing B's "Documents" folder.

network discovery is turned on in both PCs

both PCs show the same "error" when the connection is diagnosed, that is :

Tunnel: OK

Local results:
    Adapter configuration: OK
Traffic test: Inbound traffic blocked, check firewall settings
Peer results: [217-803-720]
    Adapter configuration: OK
Traffic test: Inbound traffic blocked, check firewall settings

turning off the firewall on machine A clears the errors but doesn't solve the problem, machine B still can't see machine A's shared folders.

i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Hamachi on machine A

i've tried disconnecting machine A from the Hamachi network and reconnecting it.

I've tried rebooting machine A

the only thing that i've been "playing with" on machine A has been trying to set up a separate VPN connection to a new NAS drive but i've tried deleting all the VPN connections that i'd set up in the recent past but it hasn't helped.

any advice welcomed...

ok, i've fixed i but i'm not sure what the key process was!

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling as noted - didn't help.

i then uninstalled and reinstalled and chose to discard the user settings - didn't help as i was unable to log back into the hamachi login service.

i uninstalled again and followed the steps here: https://community.logmein.com/t5/LogMeIn-Hamachi-Discussions/Cannot-connect-to-logmein-login-service-try-again-later/td-p/127812 - scroll down to the excellent post by PiscisKnight.  Basically it says "do the install using IE not Edge, Chrome or Firefox"

and it now works!

whether it was the discarding of the uesr settings or the use of IE, i don't know but it's worth a shot if nothing else has worked so far for you!

Good afternoon,

I have a problem that I do not know very well how to solve it. I'm going to leave you an outline so that you understand as best you can:

Mi Pc (windows) ------------------Hamachi-----------------  PC (debian)

IP hamachi: 25.35.40.50_________________________________IP Hamachi: 25.35.40.60

IP Local: 192.168.1.50___________________________________IP Local: 10.34.177.243

___________________________________________________________Cámara

___________________________________________________________IP Local: 10.34.177.244

What I want to know is if I can somehow access from the windows PC to the camera through Hamachi redirecting.

Can anybody help me?

Hamachi gateway remote network issue

Hello,

I am trying to use the latest version of Hamachi, i.e. v2.2.0.607 to setup a gateway network with 2 Windows 7 PCs as clients.  One of the PCs is the gateway.  The other PC can reach the gateway and that part all works fine.

The gateway is connected to the Internet via a wireless network connection.  I need for the client PC to reach the gateway’s wired network interface and network that it is connected to.  This is where I am having problems.

I have reached out to Logmein tech support over the phone but they have not been able to offer any help with this.  I have found old postings online that talk of needing to edit the h2-engine.cfg file and adding static routes.  I have tried all of that and it still does not work.  I am guessing that perhaps with the current version of Hamachi, one does not need to add routes manually or edit the config file but am not sure.  Can someone here please give me some pointers on exactly what I need to do

Here are some details on my setup:

Client PC1

 Client PC2 (gateway)

Wifi connects to internet

LAN is 192.168.11.1

I have added 192.168.11.0/255.255.255.0 as a remote network under gateway settings.

A few specific connections:

  1. Does one need TCPIP v6 enabled for this to all work on both PCs? I have tried with and without and still no go.
  2. Does the LAN on the gateway need to be part of the Hamachi bridge? If I do this, then from the gateway PC itself, I cannot ping 192.168.11.1 so I do not have it as part of the bridge.
  3. Does one need to still edit the h2 engine cfg file and/or add routes manually?

Have been hitting my head against this for a while.  The whole idea behind the gateway network based on its description is that this should be doable.  Unfortunately the how part eludes me and I am hoping someone here that has done this can shed some light.

Thanks,

Command Line Client for Windows

Hi everyone,

I know there is a command line hamachi client for Linux systems and I even use it myself in my Linux environments. I'd like to know if hamachi can also be managed through the command line in Windows. Although the GUI client in Windows is fine for me, I think it would much more practicle if hamachi could also be managed throught powershell.

Thanks a lot!
