Win 10 Network Share

I have serveral Win 10 PC's on a Gateway Hamachi network.

Sporadically each PC will cease to be available accross the network via shared folder.

Browsing from another PC on the network to the PC in question via UNC or IP address, windows displays "cannot access network share. Please check the name and try again"

Before you ask.........yes, you can ping the device via both Hostname and IP address.

The other strange thing is that you can UNC to any PC on the network via the PC that has the issue.

 

I created a DHCP resevation. Made no difference.

Firewall is off.

Only way to get it running again is to remove it from the Hamachi network. Turn off Hamachi on the PC.  Then back on again and re-add it to the Network.  Then it starts working again for awhile.

 

This is happening with about 10 Windows 10 devices.  I currently have 125 clients on my Hamachi network including Xp, Win7 to Server.  Issue only happening with Win 10.

Unable to Load internal wedpages.

Hello,

 

I apear to be having some issues loading internal webpages which connected via Hamachi when off site. I've disabled the firewall  on both the local machine and webserver to ensure it wasn't either for thes blocking the connection and this has not rectified the issue. I've also set the Hamachi adapters Interface metric to 9000 as advised by the Hamachi Support team but this doesn't seem to rectify the issue either.

 

To be clear, everything else works i can RDP to internal machine, I can use SSMS remotley i can load external sites such as google.com without issue but if i attempt to browse to <hostname>:<port> this apears to timeout. I've tried this in IE, EDGE, and Chrome.  All error after a short period of time.

 

Anyone experienced this before?

After hours of trying to find the solution, I finally got what the problem was, though, I don't know why that was a problem. On the properties page of the Hamachi Network Interface, there are some items selected. On my other computer which is working, I compared them and noticed some of the items on the not working PC were not on the working PC (not even there), so I unchecked them and it worked after stopping the VPN and starting it again! The items I uncheked were: Microsoft PEF NDIS ETW Provider Driver and Microsoft Network Monitor 3, then I restarted the VPN and it's working perfectly now. Might not be the same items to disable, but at least one of the solutions is to uncheck items on that list. Hope this helps someone!

Hi. I fixed that problem by unchecking items on the Hamachi Network Interface. I unchecked two items: Microsoft PEF NDIS ETW Provider Driver and Microsoft Network Monitor 3, then I restarted the VPN and got it working! Might not be the same items, try to disable many and see if it works, because disabling only of those two, didn't work. I had to disable a few. Let only enabled Client for Microsoft networks, File and Printers share for Microsoft networks, the IP version 4 and version 6, E/S controller and the (really not well translated) device of answer of detection...... Let only those 6 and enable one by one to see which ones are causing the issue. Sorry for the items list, I couldn't translate them very well, specially the last one. Hope this helps!

Hamachi Win10 Priority Problem

Hello,

me and my friend tried to play some games last week. Everything works fine with the connection, we get each others pings etc.

The only problem is, that all games always try to get a connection not over the hamachi adapter, but over my lan ethernet connection. So it is a "simple" priority problem in Windows 10, or so I thought.

Now I tried to change the priority with all tools at my disposal in windows 10, with changing the interface metric at both my network adapters etc.

But in all games I start the first IP, which is then used to try to establish a connection is the ethernet connection, not hamachi. Is there any other facet to this problem and how can I fix it?

If you are really stuck on this error switch to RAdmin, it's very easy to configure and I've not seen any errors like the Yellow Triangle of Death. I've more or less stopped using Hamachi because of the frustration.

Okay, so me and my friend tried to play FSX on LAN via Hamachi, but we did not get far because of this message (shown below). We both tried

Thanks for getting back to me, I have not been able to. Using the self-diagnose tool in hamachi results in it getting stuck on server connection.

Able to join the game via hamachi's IP, but the LAN server does not show up on the LAN list in games

Does it mean there is something wrong on our end (I play with my GF) or it's something wrong with the game itself? We can play without any problems when using Hamachi's IP however, the hosted games do not show up on the LAN Lists in games. We'd like to find the fix for that since some of the games doesn't allow pasting IP to join the game.
