I just did a test on a Windows 10 VM and when I installed Hamachi the VM went from 200Mb/s to 60Mb/s could this be a setting somewhere or a bug?

Windows 10 - Ping Request Timed Out

While attempting to connect to a friend's game over Hamachi, I was experiencing issues so I attempted to ping him. I found that attempting to ping either him or my brother both lead to a "Request Timed Out" error in the command prompt, however my friend was able to ping me without error. I have tried many solutions, including reinstalling hamachi, restarting my computer, messing with firewall settings, turning both Windows Firewall and Avast Antivirus off just to make sure those weren't causing problems. However, no matter what I've tried, I still have this issue. Anyone know how to fix this? I've seen many people having the same problem and I've tried just about every solution I saw, none of them have helped so far.

Running the Help -> Diagnostic Tool in Hamachi just gives me this:

If there's a way I can provide more information to help solve the issue, let me know.

Remote Access from iOS Device

I am hoping someone might have some insight as to why we aren't able to access the hamachi network remotely from our iPad 11 Pro. I have everything configured correctly on the IPad for VPN access and the network recognizes the device when it is on our internal network, but for some reason, it is not working when my colleague brings it home to work. The network is a hub and spoke configuration and we are using it to access our retail inventory server on our main server computer at the office.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Hey, so I recently got a new router, and when I went to open Hamachi to host a Minecraft server with my friends, it just continuously tried to reconnect, and my IP wasn't shown - instead, it was 0.0.0.0

Please help?

Hamachi on raspberry pi 4G

Hi All,

I've been using hamachi on my roi for sometime and its great. Recently started using a 4g dongle with it and hamachi has been behaving weird. Its a hilink based dongle and hamachi connects fine and i can ssh it from a remote pc. However if i use anything with graphics, in ssh like raspi-config, nano etc, or even connect via vnc it just hangs. Vnc after i type my password in the screen just goes black, ssh becomes unresponsive.

obviously this normally isn't the case, and when i use a wifi dongle with hotspot on my phone everything works fine, its like the 4G dongle is blocking something or something is not getting through.

the internet works fine when i plug a monitor into the rpi etc, just ssh problems via hamachi.

Computer not accessible anymore using Hamachi

Dear All,

I am testing Hamachi free version and I am facing a strange problem.

I installed Hamachi in 2 Windows 10 computers and I created a network. I attached both computers to the network. One computer is in my work place and the other one is at home. Lets call them Work_Computer and Home_Computer.

I want to connect using RDP from Home_Computer to Work_Computer.

The issues is that the Work_Computer appear as "not connected " in the Hamachi application so I can not connect to it.

I have a second solution to remote connect from Home_Computer to Work_Computer and it works.

If I am connected with this second solution to Work_Computer, the Hamachi software shows Work_Computer as "connected" and I can connect to it using RDP. This causes the second solution to disconnect but the Hamachi connection works.

In this situation, If I disconnect the RDP connection, the Hamachi software shows again Work_Computer as "disconnected" and I can not connect to it anymore.

I can repeat this procedure as many times I want and always work the same: connect using RDP with the second solution --> connect using RDP with Hamachi (the second solution disconnects) --> Hamachi Software says "connected " and the RPD connection works --> disconnect RDP --> Hamachi software says "disconnected" --> I can not connect anymore using Hamachi....

Is there any solution for such a estrange behaviour?

Best regards

More hints

If I am loged in  front of Work_Computer (with the attached keyboard), I can connec from  Home_Computer using Hamachi but, if I close the session, I can not connect any more.

Sadly no. Someone said I should have a look at pfsense, but I haven't gotten around to doing so yet.

This is the work around I am using:

1.- Create the text file "KeepMeIn.bat" containing:

      off
     set /p pass=Enter password:
     for /f "tokens=3 delims= " %%a in ('qwinsta^| findstr "Act"') do set SessionID=%%a
     tscon %SessionID% /dest:console /password:%pass% && Rundll32.exe User32.dll,LockWorkStation

2.- Place the file in "C:\Program Files (x86)" or equivalent

3.- Right click on "KeepMeIn.bat" --> Send to --> Desktop (Create a shortcut) or equivalent

4.- Right click over the shortcut --> Properties --> Advanced Options --> Run as administrator

Instead of using the "X" to close the session or Windows --> Disconnect , use the shortcut. It redirects the GUI to the console and keeps it open allowing Hamachi to keep connected.

I hope this helps.

Hamachi on Pi4B

Has anyone had success with installing Hamachi on the new Pi4? I have had great success with the latest version of Hamachi on the 3B+ with Stretch installed, but have networking issues on the Pi4. In fact, I have problems with Buster in general. I can't get Hamachi to run on Buster on the Pi3B+ or the Pi4. I'll keep testing and report back here, but if any of you have had any luck, please let me know what you did. Thanks!

Gateway Network

Greetings,

I have setup a Gateway Network via Hamachi but have a persistent problem on all my client computers.  On all 4 clients, all running Windows 10 Pro, the network comes up as Unidentified and gets marked public.  I have tried all the methods to change this that I know.   The server side looks great.

I have tried regedit changing the category under the network profile.  I have tried powershell setnetconnectionprofile method.  I have tried all idiot windows GUI bells and whistle.  I have tried setting the local security policy.  The only one that "works" at all is the powershell method but it is not persistent.  It is not practical to ask such of a user.

The clientside gateway network does not have a default gateway defined after creation.  I think windows automatically assigns such a network to public category.  I can interject a default gateway (which is just an experiment because I don't want local internet traffic routed thru the vpn to the office router) and boom, then network shows as private on the client side.  I can see the profile, change the name, etc.  I've tried the default gateway of the local subnet but that does not work.  This bastardized configuration however,  is not even persistent.  I have tried letting the DHCP server on the office router do the job, I have tried letting Hamachi act as the DHCP server, and both ways result in the same problem.

So seeing network resources  via SMB is not functional, which is one of the main purposes of the system, to enable printing at the other end. The testing work around is to enable network discovery on public networks and everything is functional, but this is obviously a non starter production solution for a mobile laptop who will undoubtedbly be on public wifi often and will end up with a comprimised firewall by default.

Is this the way a Hamachi Gateway ends up by design, as public on the client PCs?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
