Any Hamachi / Networking Guru around here? Smiley Happy

Should I point the Workstation Gateway settings entry to the Raspberry Pi (192.168.1.6) and set the Rasbperry Pi Hamachi as Gateway mode (instead of Mesh)?

Or Hamachi will take care of this by itself?

I ended up using public DNS. Since the host IP seem to be static even though they are DHCP.

I used what is essentially split DNS. The addresses resolve using public DNS servers even though they are only accessible via the VPN.

Hope this helps.

After much analysis - Using Hamachi Update fixed this for me.

Hope that helps.

VPN error

I've read about 10 different pages on this site explaining ways to fix the problem, but none have worked. Here is my problem.

My brother and I have installed Hamachi and are trying to get the server to work, HIS peer is not working somehow and we can't connect.

I've done a "Diagnostic" on his and this came up

Tunnel:
VPN domain's tap device is down

Local results:
    Adapter configuration:
            Cannot get adapter config
    Traffic test: Cannot complete test
Peer results: [205-211-672]
    Adapter configuration: OK
    Traffic test: OK]

I've reinstalled, uninstalled, gotten older versions (we're on the version 2.0.385) I've gone into the directory and removed all hamachi stuff before reinstalling. I've gone into our device manager and looked there. but it looked fine.

I have no idea what is wrong, but on my screen I see a little yellow arrow next to his name, (Not other people.) and on his screen my name is fine. I don't know how to fix this and I'm hoping someone out there does. Thanks in advance.

Where can I find files sharing options.

I am having the same problem on Windows 10.  I have checked all the recommendations of LMI_IT_Pro and found that my hamachi-2.exe is already set to all those recommendations.

Any other ideas?  Thanks

I think I just figured it out, thanks again to LMI_IT_Pro.
As Administrator, I did a net start Hamachi2Svc command, which started the Hamachi Tunneling Engine Service. In my case, when completed it then kicked off Logmein Hamachi itself. I did not set up the autostart program which was recommended, but now I know what to do after I power off.

Data use when idle (Linux version)

Hello gurus,

I have Hamachi up and running on a Raspberry Pi. This computer is connected to the Internet via a 3G router and a pre paid dataplan. I wonder how much data Hamachi on Linux will use in idle mode? i.e no one is working on my LogMeIn network but I want to be able to ssh in to the Raspberry from time to time.

 Best regards,

 /David

Re: Issues with bridge connection over wifi - Linux

I have attempt this solution with no luck.

It still appears that logmein hamachi is binding to the eth0 port.  Would there be an issue if the Wlan0 device is a USB Wi-Fi Dongle?

I created the override.cfg file and added the VPN line to it, but it simply doesn't seem to be reading that file as it keeps reverting back to the bridged eth0 connection. (which I have tried connected and disconnected without avail).

The link shows up as good, just no activity.  I switch my Raspberry pi back to a wired connection and all of a sudden the link works again and I can access the network.  A wired solution is not something I'm striving for as the location for my Pi will be quite a ways away from my router.

Any help is appreciated.

Atentamente

John Gavilanes.

Disabling in what way?  REM'ing out the eth0 in /etc/network/interfaces or just ifconfig eth0 down?

I will try both and see where it'll get me.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Tried both.  I now how ham0 which appears connected to the hamachi network.  I also now have ham1 which is showing a null address (169.254.217.206)  -- I have no ham-br0 connection unless I plug in my network cable.

I can not get the ham1 connection to link with the server

Down on East Coast- Support won't pick up the phone

Been on hold on the phone with support for over 20 minutes. Not sure what is happening but is very frustrating to not get any feedback what so ever. No twitter, no status page no nothing. I love LMI but I cannot continue to pay for Hamachi when there are such sever outages and no response or apology. What should I do?
