Hello all -
I seem to be missing something here, and was wondering if the community could help.
When setting up Hamachi as a gateway on one of our servers, we would also like it to have a static IP address within our network.
I've normally done this by either doing a DHCP reservation on the MAC address of the network bridge, or, by manually editing the IP the network bridge uses in Windows.
However, it seems randomly Hamachi will recreate the network bridge, changing both the MAC address, and the settings I set in Windows for the static IP. Then it gets a IP from DHCP messing up anything refererencing that server by IP address.
Is there a way to configure Hamachi to use a static IP for the network bridge locally?
I'm an independent network consultant, and two of my customers are experiencing the following with free Hamachi. Is this to be expected with free version, and will it stop with the purchased version? $29 per year is minimal, but obviously my customers don't want to buy it if it's not going to work better.
(I'm aware that free version won't run as a service, so hub or gateway PC's have to be logged in to Windows in order to work.)
Using free Hamachi with one Gateway PC and one remote PC, I'm finding that every week or two, I need to remove and then re-add one or the other PC.
With free Hamachi with one hub and 3 spoke PC's, every few weeks I need to remove and then re-add the spoke PC.
Any insight will be appreciated. Thank-you.
Bob
Worked for me. I stopped the LMI Hamachi Tunneling Engine, disabled and reanabled the adaptor, started the service and it is working. Thanks for the tip!
I have this problem (inconsistent timestamp) on a windows 7 64 bit when Hamachi 2.2.406 try to start. For me the solution was to install a previous version of Hamachi (2.2.385) because the suggested sollution of Hamachi self test routine (reinstall the client/program) didn`t work. I have no explanation for this behavior of Hamachi.

I bought a Standard Hamachi subscription. Then when I created a network my subscription is only free and if I click Standard I am ask to buy it again. Can anyone help me?

Hi,
Have you solved this issue?
I created my hamachi gateway with the pi and it is connected by 3g mobile connection.
I am able to connect to the lan only few times... I am not sure if the problem can be related to the 3g connection.
Any suggestion for me?
During the installer, I get clear "installing network adapter" messages and so on, but after that, I check my Network Connections folder, and I'm only seeing my local area connection.
When I got into Device Managers, this is what I see: http://imgur.com/sizoC0z
This is the .txt file the diagnosis tool left me with:
I have yellow triangle boxes next to the names of other members in my channel, and I cannot ping them, diagnosing from their names gives me this message:
I have checked and both my firewall and my antivirus are disabled during installation and when running.
I have attempted all the fixes from here , but nothing worked.
I began to question whether something was seriously wrong with my network adapter, but after installing the tunngle client, I encountered no problems at all, it's drivers and adapters were all installed with no issue.
If anyone has any idea how to help me, it would be greatly appreciated
I've only just started researching about this issue a couple of minutes ago, but thought I'd mention that I have two machines here right next to each other, both have hamachi set to auto update so the only hamachi installs/updates done on these systems has been by the program itself and in my case must have happened within the last few days as I was using hamachi to connect some sega emulators with a friend of mine last weekend.
Haven't checked with him yet to see if he's having the same problem, but for reference all of us are using windows 7 x64 pro sp1 with all recommended updates.
Not sure exactly when this issue started as I only really use hamachi on weekends and only noticed it last night sort of by accident while I was in the middle of troubleshooting a new game on my wife's system.
Anyway, just wanted to chime in with the information that this error can occur on systems where it wasn't a user initiated install/reinstall etc.
I have not done any troubleshooting steps as of yet, because in this situation the most obvious conclusion I can draw is that hamachi must have tried to update itself within the last couple of days and messed up it's own install using it's own installer. If that's the case it seems most likely to be some sort of bug with the installer, and trying to fix a bugged installer to fix it's own bugged installation seems somewhat counterintuitive.
Gotta go for now but the last thing I'll throw in is that the last thing I recall about hamachi before noticing this issue was after my play session with my buddy last weekend and just before he went offline, he reminded me that we were going to need to reset our clocks for daylight savings time.
First thing I noticed after seeing no connection between my wife's system and mine was that when I ran the diagnostic tool, it told me that hamachi needed to be reinstalled because of some sort of timestamp error.
Might sound silly, but is this just something caused/triggered by the daylight savings time change?
Hi everyone, since a bit of time now, Hamachi doesn't want to let me ping some of my peers, the dot is green and sometimes the diagnose tools says this:
But when I try to ping, nothing works, always tells me that the response delay expired.
And there's the kicker: When I ping a peer, it doesn't work and the diagnose tool tells me randomly that the inbound traffic is blocked and sometimes it isn't.
But if I try another one on another network, it pings correctly but tells me this:
Tried to reinstall hamachi, still didn't work. Allowed hamachi in Windows Firewall and also in advanced firewall, still doesn't work. I also have another computer on the same network as mine running a minecraft server where I can connect but my friends cannot.
What's wrong with hamachi?
Hello
I had trouble code 52 with hamachi .
I could solve the problem by uninstalling and deleting the file hamachi
C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ hamachi.sys ( hidden )
Once installed Hamachi 2.2.0.303
Made it no longer appeared the error code 52 .
When I opened the hamachi it automatically updated to latest version and it worked normal.
I hope this helps .
= )
This is happening to me too.
when i installed this it was working for about 2 months. Then this inconsistent timestamp started happening.
Windows 7 Professional.
Hi and thanks to everybody for sharing your experience and experiments with hamachi.
Here I try to describe my scenario with my issues.
I've already installed hamachi on my raspberry pi and I was able to create my VPN with my gateway (raspberry_pi).
I am also able to connect to my gateway (raspberry) by remote session using ftp and ssh.
So, until now all the stuff is working very well.
The problem I have is that if I try to access to the IPCAM or router web page present locally in my gateway LAN, many times I am not able to reach them. In addition, if I try to run the desktop in my gateway (raspberry_pi) and I try to connect to my raspberry_pi using it's graphical interface, I am not able to see it (except for some times) and the connection drop irreversibly.
I have also to say that I am using a mobile 3G connection to connet my gateway (rasperry_pi) over internet.
So my questions are:
1. Is not the raspberry able to work like a gateway? Is it not powerful enough?
2. Do I need to set up some particular stuff in order to speed up and keep alive the connection with my gateway and also with all other devices connected to the lan?
3. Is it an internet connection problem?
What do you suggest and how can I solve my situatuion?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Peppe.
Have The Same Problem And Tried Everything To Stop It!!!!
Hi Mike,
I am using hamachi on my raspberry pi to create a gateway network.
The gateway is the raspberry pi.
I am able to connect to my raspberry (or let me say gateway) by ssh and ftp (also from my mobile client) but if I try to connect to my router through its webui or if I try to connect to other machines (like IPCAM without the hamachi client installed) in the same LAN of the raspberry pi I am not able to connect to their webUI.
Have you solved this issue?
Can you help me on this issue?
Thanks VERY VERY MUCH a lot in advance.
Ciao,
Giuseppe.
