Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1 No Internet access
I've installed Hamachi on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, but when hamachi is active there's not internet conexion, i've tried another solutions like this https://community.logmein.com/t5/Hamachi/Windows-Server-2012-R2-network-card-broken-No-Internet-access/m-p/133297#M13896 , but isn't working. I'm just testing hamachi 'cause i have the intention to buy as minimal the 6-32 computers suscription, but i need the internet conexion on the server to do that.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks.
Connected to Network with successful tunnel, but cannot browse or otherwise access network
The title prety much sums it up. I have a connection to the network with a green light but I cannot see inside it. I cannot browse or access anything in the home machine. I was able to access the network 2 days ago with no issues and the person who owns the "home base" computer says that he had made no changes to the network or his machine in the last couple of days. I ran a diagnostic and you can see the result below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tunnel: OK
Local results:
Adapter configuration: OK
Traffic test: Inbound traffic blocked, check firewall settings
Peer results: [208-074-994]
Adapter configuration:
Cannot get adapter config
Traffic test: All traffic blocked, check firewall settings

There is NO password
Re: What VPN bandwidth can I expect with Himachi?
Hi, I'm using VNC to remotely control the interface, any chance to optimize this?
Re: Hamachi going offline (paid!)
Same server just disabled itself, and another (W2012R2) has done the same, but the log is very different.
Anyone have any ideas?!
Re: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1 No Internet access
To do this fix you would need to be on the server ( as you may lose internet access).
First, turn Hamachi on ( you'll lose internet access)
Go to the Hamachi network adapter and right click select properties.
Choose Internet Protocol Version 4 > Properties > Advanced
Uncheck Automatic Metric and then set it to 9000.
What I then like to do is go to your other network adapter and set that metric to a low metric like 10.
Re: Hamachi going offline (paid!)
Hmm interesting, have you tried seeing if the Hamachi service itself crashes or if it's the whole UI. If it's just the service that stops you might be able set the service to recover.
services.msc > Properties > Recovery
Re: Connected to Network with successful tunnel, but cannot browse or otherwise access network
On the Hamachi UI press Syster > Preferences >Settings > Advance Settings
Scroll down until you see Server address. Try to ping that server address if it times out you'll need to whitelist. (do this on both sides)
Re: Hamachi going offline (paid!)
Hi
No, service running OK, and UI was actually running, but just "powered off". Same on both servers. Restarting service made no difference. Only was was to click "poower on" button on UI
Do you know if this can be done from a script/tool/command line?
Interestingly, on the server I posted the log yesterday, I did a LAN scan and found an old netgear router being used as just an AP - e.g. wifi AP connected to LAN switch. No broadband connected. It was on a different subnet and in theroy the server should not know it exists, but it appears the router was advertising uPnP, and indeed there were uPnP sessions grabbed by the router from the server (!). So I've disabled uPnP on that router as if it was getting in the way, of course something would break. If it still crashes I'll get it unplugged. The log above mentions Netgear uPnP hence feeling confident.
The other server that powers hamachi off has a different log and no mention of a crash so can't figure that one out....
FQDN for hamachi hosts (127.0.53.53) :(
One of my customers uses Hamachi all teh time.
Keeping it simple - they RDP into a host called "coffee".
So, a terminal server sesison connects to "coffee". This works on the LAN resolving to 192.x.x.x and works remotely connecting to 25.x.x.x
However, yesterday he was on a hotspot where the LAN settings/DNS would bounce the host coffee to 127.0.53.53 which is ARPA atandards for "oy - get your name right" - and hence it would not connect.
Connecting to the IP 25.x.x.x works fine.
But clearly all his shortcuts to the hosts that connect to (say) "coffee" do not work and its treated as a new host.
Yes, we could add entry in local hosts, but that would resolve even when on the LAN.
How do you manage a single name for a host?
All I can think of is forcing internal DNS to resolve coffee.myco.com to 192.x.x.x and external DNS to 25.x.x.x but thats a right pain (and they don't have internal DNS server except router that can't do this)
Or, just put it down to the hotspot?!
Re: Hamachi going offline (paid!)
FFS
The Server near the netgear box has gone off line again , but no way to connect to check teh logs. Argh.
Oh - and lovely getting support from LMI - zero response from a support email! Thanks.
Run a script upon connection
I would like to initiate a script (batch or PS is yet TBD) upon a successful connection being established. Is there any method or means to do that short of continually polling the state of the connection?
Re: Failed to connect to the engine
We were having the same "failed to connect to engine" issue on mac os el cap / sierra.
Our solution was:
- open system preferences > users & groups > login items
- Logmein hamachi showed a yellow yeild sign and "unknown"
- select logmein hamachi and press the "-" below to remove from startup items.
- restart computer. hamachi opens and connects fine.
hopefully this helps others as well.
Re: Hamachi going offline (paid!)
We have the same on our client computers. Hamachi poweroff himself. Only with a Power-on click it logged on again. I also don't get it why there is a power on/off button if you run hamachi by services. The services run, but a client can overrule by clicking power-/loggoff button. Bye bye connection.
We also asked support to change this or make a command option to auto poweron hamachi interface we can builld in a script. But no support from here, and we also have a paid account with 999 clients.
Re: Windows 10 Hamachi Problem
This worked for me! Thank you!
Hamachi stuck on taskbar and not restoring
Hello!
I downloaded hamachi a while back and it worked fine back then.
Now I need it to play with friends, but it doesnt work!
It's just stuck at the taskbar
It is running, it's not "not responding" or anything.
LogMeIn Hamachi Service is running, no problem
firewall all off
I also tried to install older versions but it still does not work!
Windows 10 64-bit
Any suggestions?
Thanks in Advance!
Josh
Can't connect to Hamachi server and hamachi ip is 0.0.0.0
Everytime I open hamachi it shows 0.0.0.0 as the address and when i press connect it says connected but the ip is still 0.0.0.0 and i can't join any networks or create ones, after 10 seconds it goes back offline and says:
"failed to connect to hamachi serves. would you like hamachi to automatically monitor server availability and establish a connection as soon as it becomes possible?".
although 2 of my friends have it working, only difference is that i have windows 10
I sat the metric to 9000, restarted services, updated the drivers, turned firewall off, re-installed and non of that worked still the same issue.
please help.
version is 2.2.0.558
Specifics of Hamachi Premium
Hi,
I'm planning to upgrade to premium hamachi and I just wanted to check that if I buy a premium network that it doesn't require anyone who wants to join said network to have their own, separate premium subscription.
Thanks.
I am having an issue with hamachi on OS X Sierra
Everytime i've tried installing hamachi, i would get the error message "The Installation has failed" With no reasoning behind it. It stopped working as soon as i updated to OS X Sierra. Why is this happening to me?
