VideoSavant wrote:OK, I managed to get my Hamachi install working again.
Here's the process I followed to get there.
* First, I uninstalled Hamachi. I did leave my configuration settings when I did the install, largely by accident. I thought about going back and trying to nuke those as well, but I figured my next step would probably take care of it anyway.
* Second, I fired up the Windows tool regedit.exe. I searched for "Hamachi" and I then proceded to delete every reference to hamachi that appeared in the registry. Note that I ended up doing three separate passes, meaning that when the registry editor informed me that it had found all references, I returned to the very top of the registry and did another pass. This turned up additional registry keys for Hamachi, as did a third pass. I think the reason this happened is that whenever you delete a registry entry or key, the cursor advances to the next key and sometimes this may have been a Hamachi key (and because the cursor was already on it, the find function moved to the next one).
In total, I would say there were in excess of 50 "hamachi" references in the registry.
* Third, I did exactly the same process for lmiguardian. I'm not even sure what this does, but I noticed it as one of the running Hamachi processes in the Task Manager, so I figured those should be elminated, too. There were only two or three references to this executable.
* Fourth, I rebooted. Some may say that this is an unnecessary step, but it can't hurt.
* Fifth, I reinstalled Hamachi 319, and when it began to install the network drivers, I right-clicked on my hamachi.drv file I have on my desktop and clicked Install, and then I received confirmation that the "operation completed successfully."
* Sixth, before starting Hamachi, I disconnected my Ethernet cable, as I wanted to ensure that Hamachi did not do an automatic upgrade. As it happens, when I started Hamachi and checked the update entry in Preferences, it was NOT checked. So, I plugged the network cable back in and checked to see if the adapter was showing in the adapter listings under the Network and Sharing Center. It was -- success!
* I updated my proxy for the correct listening address, restarted my proxy server, and it connected. I confirmed via my web browser that my proxy was working properly.
I hope this proves helpful to others. I do caution creating a restore point before making any changes to the registry and then taking your time and watching very carefully what you're doing when you're getting ready to delete registry entries.
Good luck!
Thanks man, after days of searching finally this worked like a charm...
I tried pz's solution by adding h2-engine.ini with the LmiEmail line before starting hamachi, but running 'hamachi' just gives status "logged in" and an empty lmi account. It's a clean install, which havn't previously been attached to anything.
Is anything else needed for hamachi to change to the attached state? Noticed that it set a bit in Bits2, when I run 'hamachi attach' manually.
With the installation I'm during it is not possible to run "hamachi attach" as part of the installation script, as it is being run inside a chroot.

Hello, i have recently reinstall hamachi after reinstlling my win7 and it adapter it gone and i can't seem to be able to connect with my friends.
I tryed a few thing but nothing seems to work. If i can get some help that would be greate, some life support would be even better.
Well, let me start off straight...have been using hamachi for many years now, even before the ''login to blablabla'' thing and from back then till now (been using it on/off on many different devices etc.) there's been a huge memory leak...and i do mean huge...(pic is from right now, max i got a year ago was ~14GB usage...)
http://prntscr.com/eriumw
Like...i do have 32GB of ram but holy hell this is absurd...it's a tunneling engine, it's not a game, not a video editing software...not even Chrome eats that much ram...and like i said this has been a problem since years ago and i see they still haven't fixed it.
I'm not gonna say it's an easy fix since my knowledge of programming isn't big, but you had many years and many people that know how to program...and this still exists?
Seriously, what the hell is that? I have like 100 Chrome tabs open and i barelly brake 5GB of ram usage on it over the course of a week not restarting Chrome...i leave this open for 3 days ''hurrhurr 9GB huehue''.
Before anyone does the usual questions. Yes it's the latest version, yes i tried reinstalling, yes i tried a different PC, yes i tried installing an older version and then updating etc.
Does anyone have a magical ''plsnomemoryleak.bat'' file or something that i can DL somewhere? There must be something that can be done, cause this is really starting to give me cancer...

Hi All,
A friend of mine and I have been using Hamachi for quite a while, and while we've gone through all the standard issues that Hamachi tends to have, we've come accross a slightly more odd one recently. This issue is presented in the form of a steady connection, with the occasional timeout.
It's most obvious when playing certain games, but just pinging from a blank desktop still shows the odd timeout here and there. I would assume that both of our firewalls are fine and open to Hamachi (we've had to do other fixes in the past and disabled the Firewalls for it), so I'm not sure what else to do to ensure a steadier connection.
If anybody has any ideas on how to fix this issue, it'd be much appreciated, as it's really quite annoying.
Thanks much,
-MilesTr11
I have Windows 7 SP1 and i have problem.
I have 2 pc and 1 notebook, all pc can ping my notebook, but notebook cant ping my 2 pc.
i tries all, firewall and other, but still no work.
btw my notebook have win 10
You might want to try running the program as an administrator. Right click and run as administrator.
They can't ping me neither. We all havemicrosoft essential security and all it work fine till now. I put hamachi-2-ui in excluded list but still don't work. Can you help me please and tell me whats should I do step by step?
Hi
We have Hamachi installed on 4 servers and numerous clients to connect to the windows servers via RDP
One server has recently started going offline on hamachi - as if the client is turned off via the "power" icon. Logging on locally shows the client is "off", and clicking it is all fine.
Product is paid for and licensed and should be OK! it is OK on other servers.
Client is up to date, and has been removed/reinstalled via different methods.
Any suggestions on where to go from here? Any log files? Any settings to stop client going offline?
Server is Win 2008
Hmmm
The log file has some interesting bits in - this is *pronbably* when it vanished. It mentioned a netgear UPnP device - but I'm *certain* this servrer is plugged into an unmanaged basic netgeat GS108 type switch, and from there to a Draytek router. No managed netgear I'm aware of
(though will look under desks next time I'm there!)

The problem I had for half a year, finally fixed.
Here's how:
Install the Windows 10 Creators Update (or wait until 11th of April)
Yup, all you have to do is install a update, sorry if you're not on Windows 10.
Glad to hear it was fixed!!!!!
Under preference > Advance preferences > Under peer connections there will be a compression option. If you are transfering files having compression enabled might help speed up the transfer( depending on the type of file that is being sent).
Is this limited to transfers using the hamachi client or does this speed up file transfer using http over vpn etc?
